Some of the parts are now ordered. Clear acrylic for the frame has been sourced from a local supplier who deals in off-cuts. The "printed" parts are also on order from the Mendel90 designer himself, known as 'nophead' on the Reprap forum. I've decided on the J head for the hot end and the Wades extruder is supplied with the printed parts.

Electronics will be RAMPS 1.4/Arduino with SD card and smart LCD support, along with a heated bed.

Next up will be stainless smooth rod and all of the other 'vitamins' for the project.

Hi all, my name is Colin and I am completely new to this Blog thing! This blog will encompass my hobbies mainly, which at this stage are Quadrocopters, 1-wire weather station stuff, Amateur radio and last but not least - 3D printing. I'm about to embark on building a Mendel90 printer - and when I find out how links work I'll post a bit more about that project!
